We will be here to support you!
The weeks continue to unfold in ways that are difficult for us to predict or imagine. We have been reminded of how important it is to take care of ourselves as an everyday practice because if you are in good health and your immune system is running strong, your body is made to fight off viruses. And one of the worst things for your immune system is stress and a poor diet. This is a good opportunity to take a moment and really look at your everyday practices, nutrition, and supplementation.
At times like this, we must also remind ourselves to pause, breathe,
and look at all that we do have to be grateful for.
At William's we have been working tirelessly to keep ourselves informed, our shelves stocked and to keep our customers and staff as safe as possible during these unprecedented times. We will continue to adapt and make improvements as we are committed to continuing to be here to serve our community every day.
Stay safe. Stay well. We’re in this together.
Williams Natural Foods is committed to remaining open during this difficult time in order to continue to support and serve our community.
Our adjusted opening hours are:
Monday to Friday: 9 am to 7 pm
Saturday: 9 am to 6 pm
Sunday: 10am to 6pm
WE WILL BE HERE TO CONTINUE SUPPORTING AND SERVING YOU!
We also need to ask for your help! When shopping at William's, we ask that you do/respect the following:
Maintain a social distance of 6 ft as much as practically possible.
Allowing no more than two people to enter the store with each family/group. This temporary change is for your safety and the safety of our employees and other members, and to further assist with our social distancing efforts. At times we might also need to ask you to wait in entering the store as to limit the number of people inside.
Your will also not be able to use your own containers at our bulk sections.
We ask customers who bring reusable bags to please bag your own groceries.
As you have heard, Contra Costa County has issued a shelter-in-place order. The order limits activity, travel, and business functions to only the most essential needs. Grocery stores, like William's, are included on the list of essential businesses and are allowed to stay open. We have no plans to close our stores.
Temporary Changes to Bulk Foods
To help protect the health and safety of our staff and customers, we have removed all reach-in bins, tongs, and scoops from our bulk foods department. We are increasing the frequency of sanitation practices on our handles and high traffic areas. Your will also not be able to use your own containers at our bulk sections.
We are still experiencing shortages on many items throughout our stores, particularly shelf-stable grocery products, frozen foods, and cleaning products. We are receiving orders daily and are working to replenish our shelves, and our inventory on most items should stabilize next week.
Please note: To protect the health and safety of our staff and customers, we are unable to accept product returns beginning Wednesday, March 18th. We are still accepting returns of deposit items, such as milk bottles, as these undergo a rigorous sanitation process. We will re-evaluate this policy when the COVID-19 situation stabilizes.
Additional Precautionary Measures
We are following all updates from the California Department of Public Health, Contra Costa Health and Human Services, and the CDC. We are checking for new information daily, and we will follow any guidance issued by local, state, and national health officials.
So far, we are:
Increasing cleaning efforts throughout the store, with a focus on high-touch areas
Increasing signage throughout our stores in both Spanish and English
Suspending all active and passive food and product sampling
Increasing the presence of hand sanitizer in the store when they become available.
Our distributors are currently out of stock on sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizers, so we are increasing the cleaning of carts and baskets until we are able to restock.
Thank you so much for your patience and your support over the past few days. We are listening to your suggestions, and doing everything in our power to make changes that serve you, but we also need to prioritize the health and well-being of our staff.
