Early Grey is made from black tea leaves and the fruit of the Citrus bergamia tree. It was originally grown in Southeast Asia and is now widely cultivated in Southern Italy, yet it’s commonly considered an English tea because it was likely named after British prime minister, Earl Grey.

Early Grey is commonly enjoyed with milk and sugar in the United States and with lemon and sugar in Britain.
